The best things come in small packages

Windmill barn is an incredible venue for so many reasons. This isn't a grand venue like one of the big castles but don't for a second think that means there is anything lacking here. Everything from the grounds to the barn to the owners, is there to put you at ease and make sure you have the best day possible. The owners Clare and her husband are the most genuinely nice people you could hope to meet and fantastic wedding coordinators.

I've never shot a wedding here where everyone wasn't obviously having an amazing time. The catering and layout just lend themselves to a friendly, colourful and characterful venue. It perfectly lends itself to my style of wedding photography

You can find Windmill Barn just a few miles outside Dunfermline, along the A985.

There is plenty of car parking available onsite.

venue details

Windmill Barn is a private residence that incorporates the venue along with the owners home. The benefits to that are obvious in that you know they are onsite.

Behind the above photo there is the internal square where ceremonies can be held (weather permitting) and drinks receptions enjoyed. Generally speaking kids seem to take over the space after that in my experience!

There are at least 6 different locations for photographs at Windmill barn, so that not only can your couple portraits be different, your group photos can be too. All within just a few yards of each other.

If you're getting married at Windmill Barn or even just thinking about it as a possible venue, great choice! You will have a fantastic time, I am sure of it! If you've any questions about wedding photography at Windmill Barn, please feel free to get in touch.

The square...

There is a water feature as well...

And of course the barn...
